 On December 21, 2012 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue 3 stamps “Games of the XXX Olympiad, London 2012”.

Designer: Ivan Lukin. Printing: offset. Colour: 2 colours (M — bronze, H — silver, P — gold). Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 14: 141/4. Size of the stamps: 40x28 mm. Sheet composition: 8 (2x4) stamps and 4 coupons. Size of the sheets: 140x137 mm. Print quantity: 40.000 stamps each.
 
Colour of the postmark — black.
Special postmark and FDC designed by I. Lukin.
 Letter “M” is equal to the air-mail tariff of a postcard abroad. 
 Letter “H” is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.
 Letter “P” is equal to the air-mail tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.
 

Historical reference: Games of the XXX Olympiad took place in London from 25 July 2012 to 12 August 2012. Belarus team won 12 medals: 2 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze ones.
Sergei Martynov (shooting, men’s 50m rifle prone) and Victoria Azarenka & Max Mirnyi (tennis, mixed doubles) became Olympic champions. Sergei Martynov equaled the world record of 600 points in qualification and in the final he scored 705.5 points, which is a new world record!
